With nutrition counseling, Dr. Castor helps you understand how your dietary choices influence your health, weight, and any chronic diseases you may have. She then provides you with the education and tools you need to make changes to your diet so you can take control of your weight and health.

What can I expect during a nutrition counseling consultation?

When you meet with Dr. Castor, your initial contact will be via Zoom and in a group session. The session will range anywhere from 60-90 minutes with time for questions and answers.. This is complimentary.

During your initial screening, you’ll speak with  Dr. James Benjamin to develop a weightloss plan. He asks detailed questions about your usual diet, food likes and dislikes, and your shopping and cooking habits. Then you come back to the office, and Dr. Leach conducts a physical exam and lab testing to better understand your overall health and nutritional needs. Her lab testing may include a check for nutritional deficiencies as well as food or environmental sensitivities that may affect your health.

Dr. Leach and Dr. Benjamin also reviews your medical history, family history, and the types of medications and supplements you take before starting your medical treatment.
